The scars of all I'll ever know

[li]Strength – Because Buffy is one in a long line of slayers she has the supernatural ability of tremendous strength. Once upon a time ago some very creepy shamans took a girl, and violated her with the essence of a demon, forever unleashing a girl with god like strength into the world. Buffy is the most recent in the slayer line, and is expected to defeat demons, vampires and the forces of darkness. This also comes as a combo pack with instinctive fighting and reflex skills.
[/li][li]Healing – The average person spends 6-9 weeks healing a broken bone, slayers usually mend it in about a week. This is one of the perks of being a chosen one, healing time, and a super strong immune system. She is not immune to taking a few bumps and bruises, but thankfully they heal fast enough for her to be back and ready to go the following night after night. Depending on how you look at it, it is a blessing and a curse.
[/li][li]Wit – If you can’t beat them, then at least make them self conscious about their shoes. Saying something clever during a fight can throw off your opposite, or at least intimidate him. If he is aware that you can think on your feet just as quickly as you can move them he might be a little less willing to put up a good fight. However, this can back fire and only piss them off more.
[/li][li]Compassion – Buffy can become closely attached to those around her. She finds strength in love and friendship, and it only makes her fiercer because she truly has something worth fighting for. When she falls in love, it becomes an overwhelming passion that can almost make her unstoppable. She does what she must to protect those that she cares about, no matter the cost. The people around her are the source of her inner strength.
[/li][li]Dreams – Though rare, and always a sign of bad things to come, her dreams serve as a warning. She has the advantage if she knows something is coming, she might not know exactly who or what, but she knows to be on guard. Sometimes a simple prophecy dream can be the difference between life and death. Unless she is having the cheese dream again.
[/li][li]Leader – Buffy knows how to take command if she has to, and she rarely gives it a second thought. It comes as second nature for her, be it that she is a slayer, or possibly that is just who she is. Either way she is the person you want acting as a general during a battle. She is a logical thinker, and makes moves based on stagey. She isn’t fully aware of her potential, but it is there lying doormat until she is forced to retrieve it.
WEAKNESSES
[/li][li]Superficial - Buffy is very self centered and oblivious to the world around her. It matters more to her what shoes she is going to wear on Saturday, then about world hunger. Who can blame her; she is a pretty, seventeen year old girl. She judges people based upon appearance, and most likely won’t waste her time even talking to a boy unless he is up to her high standards.
[/li][li]Boys - Once again, this seventeen year old girl is just a helpless victim to her hormones. She likes attractive boys, but she has a weak spot for bad boys. The more mystery they have the better. However, after things end with the bad boy she learns her lesson for a little while. Her urge to date usually fills up most of her time.
[/li][li]Status – Buffy wants to be seen as the popular girl. She works hard at maintaining this, and fears it could all be destroyed by hanging out with the wrong people, or having last week’s hair. Sometimes she is forced to do things she might not want to do, or is uncomfortable doing to save her reputation.
[/li][li]Denial – Buffy does not want to be the slayer. She did not choose it, and feels it should have chosen someone other than her. She knows she has no choice but to accept her calling, but that doesn’t mean that she won’t fight it every step of the way.
[/li][li]Focus – Buffy has a hard time concentrating on what she should. Her mind often wonders to boys, or shopping, or ways to make herself more appealing. This is probably why she is failing most of her classes. She likes to live in the moment, and sometimes focusing on what she should do later is a lot less fun then what she is doing currently.

You saw all my pieces broken
This darkness that I could never show.
Buffy Anne Summer, is 5 feet four inches tall, and is exceptionally slender. If not for her love of cheese, and the occasional doughnut it is possible she would look anorexic. However, her slight junk food habit keeps her healthy looking. She has tiny arms, and legs that belie her strength. Her muscles are small, but very powerful and sturdy. She is a petite young girl, and because of her size she is often underestimated. She has expressive, green eyes that are hinted with flecks of gold. She has shoulder length honey blonde hair, with high lights, and hints of the brunette that she truly is. She has a unique nose that is small, and well suited to her face. She wears clothes that accent her feminine figure, and also show portions of her body without being too revealing.
PERSONALITY
Buffy has many layers, however most of them are hidden deep, deep down. At first glance she appears to be a self centered ditz, who only cares about clothes and boys. It is true she does like those things, but if you take the time to get to know her you just might find out who she really is. She has a caring heart, and is generally kind. That is if you can see past her shallow exterior.
Buffy deeply loves her friends and family, and she is very devoted to them. She is fiercely loyal, sometimes to a fault. She is very protective of those that she cares about, and is not afraid to go above and beyond for them. She is a very emotionally strong person, and often finds herself having to be a rock for her friends in their time of need. She refuses to give up on the people in her life, and sometimes she pushed them to do what she thinks is best.
To others she will be generally polite, and put a smile on, but rarely do you get to see the real Buffy until you get close to her. If you make her mad, you just might see more of Buffy then you ever wanted too. She will not back down, and she will fight to the end. She is not someone you want to have as an enemy. Her words can sting if she feels motivated enough to hurt you.
It can be a challenge to catch Buffy’s eye, she is very picky when it comes to her men. She likes her men with a hint of danger. She knows that this comes with the risk of having her heart broken, but for Buffy a passionate love is worth the risk. She longs to be loved, and have someone who understands her, and is willing to comfort her when she needs it. After her father left, it has made things more complicated for her, because it is hard for her to trust men. She is always afraid that they leave her. She wants someone that will be there for her.
Her father leaving has built some very thick, very tall walls around her heart. She is reluctant to truly trust people, and for an outsider it can make her seem a little standoffish. She is warm, and loving, but there will always be a echo of doubt.
She might not be the most intelligent woman in the world, and she often struggles in basic classes in school. However, what she lacks in intellectual smarts, she makes up for with street smarts.
Buffy is very resourceful, and will find ways to use people and things to her advantage. Buffy is a very strong willed, outspoken women. She is selfless, and fights for what she believes is right.
Buffy is also naive, she is young, and has not lived very much of life. She knows little about love, men and sex. Even less, about the real world, and how it actually works. She has learned about life more through reality T.V shows, then through actually living.
LIKES
[li]People that she is close too – Her friends, family, and whoever she is crushing on at the moment. They are the ones that she can turn to. Sometimes they are all she has. She likes having people around her that accept her, and love her.
[/li][li]Cheese –Melted, on bread, on nachos, on macaroni. It doesn’t really matter. Buffy likes cheese. It has been said that it is the key to her heart. However, this has been greatly exaggerated. Though, it would be a good start.
[/li][li]Clothes – She likes to look pretty, feel pretty, and have everyone else know how good she looks. She likes trying on new things, and mixing and matching. There is nothing like a new pair of shoes to make a girl feel sparkly and new.
[/li][li]Skating – She likes the ice, and having her own little world to escape to when things get rough. It was an obsession of hers when she was little, and sometimes she still longs to put on her blades.
[/li][li]Bad movies – She likes old movies, foreign movies, and movies she can’t understand. Anything, besides horror movies. Movies are best when watched with friends, and a giant bowl of popcorn. Even more fun when you all take turns guessing what is going on.
DISLIKES
[/li][li]Evil – If it didn’t exist then she wouldn’t be the slayer, and she could actually enjoy her weekends. She hates vampires, demons, and anything else that goes bump in the night. They are ugly and have no respect for her social life.
[/li][li] Nerds – Being within a few feet of them could possibly do unbearable damage to her reputation. She is mature and knows that she will not get cooties, but there is still the chance of her popularity going down the drain.
[/li][li]Hospitals – Nothing good happens there, and she had a terrible experience there once as a child. She prefers to just stay at home, and have her mother take care of her whenever she does get sick.
[/li][li]Bad Relationships – She hates when relationships end, even more so if the guy is the one to leave. When she falls in love, or in like with someone she generally falls hard and fast, and it makes it hurt all the more.
[/li][li]Being The Slayer – She never asked to be chosen, and if given the choice she never would. All she wants is a normal life, and to go on happily oblivious to the creatures around her. She wants nothing to do with her calling, and the short life expectancy.

If I told you the reasons why
Would you leave your life and ride?

Buffy was born Los Angeles, California to Joyce and Hank Summers. She had a fairly normal childhood, raised as an only child and, admittedly, a little spoiled by her loving parents. During her early childhood, she was very close with her cousin, Celia. When Buffy was eight years old, she went to visit Celia in the hospital and witnessed her death at the hands of an invisible entity. She developed a fear of hospitals after that experience.
She was never the best student, even at a young age being more interested in the social aspect of school than the actual academics. However, she was never much of a disciplinary problem. Growing up, she learned to ice skate and it became a favorite pastime. Buffy began attended Hemery High School in Los Angeles, where she became very popular. She was a cheerleader and elected both Prom Princess and Fiesta Queen.
When she was fifteen she thought she had survived the worst part of the life when her parents went through a divorce. Hank fell in love, or more accurately in lust with his barely legal secretary. The young secretary was of course charmed by the older man, and he modest wealth. Her mother leaned on her for support as her father packed his things and left. The day her mother finally signed for divorce papers they went for ice crème. Hank, at first religiously spent every weekend with his daughter, took her shopping, and on vacations. This was a misguided effort to buy his daughters affections. However, after about eight months it became every other weekend.
When Buffy turned sixteen she tried to continue her normal life, even though her strained relationship with her father had a deep emotional hold on her. She ignored it by dating more, and attending more parties to ease the pain. However, all of this would soon be eclipsed by another even in Buffy’s life.
Her mother, wanting to escape all the reminders of her failed marriage jumped at the opportunity to open her own gallery. Even if it meant moving all the way to Sunnydale. Buffy hated the idea of leaving all of her friends, and her established popularity. She realized how pointless it was to long for something that was in the past, and decided to make the best of the situation. She was happy that her room was bigger, and immediately set to personalizing it. The first week in Sunnydale was spent unpacking, and helping her mother set up the gallery.
She met Cordelia Chase on her first day at Sunnydale high, and fell into the popular crowd. It only added to her fame that everyone knew her before she arrived. Being a pretty girl from the big city, everyone was interested in her, and she was the main focus of gossip for a while. She has no idea about Faith, Angelus, or Giles. Currently she has no idea that she is the slayer.
CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
Buffy is a slayer, so no matter what she will be forced to interact with almost all other characters. She is a hero for the good guys, and a thorn in the side of all big bads. She will play her part in saving the world, and most likely she will grow from seeing her slayer duty as a chore to a destiny. Along the way she will make friends, and if she is lucky have a good romance or two. If she is on her best behavior her watcher might give her a cookie, but I seriously doubt it.

The day had started off rather unusual for Buffy. She heard the shrill sound of her alarm clock, and it woke her up as it did every morning. She reached over to hit the snooze button, but instead she felt it collapse under the weight of her hand. She wearily opened her eyes to look over at her former alarm clock and raised an eye brow in surprise. It was shattered, but she shrugged it off, and decided that it was cheap and needed to be replaced anyway. She struggled to get up, and threw her legs over the edge of the bed, and raised herself into a sitting position.
She picked up the remnants of the clock, and tugged the cord, from the outlet. She turned it over in her hands, and examined it. Sure enough it looked as though she had taken a hammer to it. She absently giggled at it, as she got up to throw it away. She tossed it carelessly into the waste basked beside her nightstand. From the angle where it landed she could clearly see the makers seal. MADE IN CHINA. “Their merchandise is getting shotty.” She said to Mr. Gordo. The pig sat there innocently on her bed, and was not polite enough to reply.
She stretched, and walked around for a second, wishing she could sleep for at least one more hour. She knew better, but no one could blame her for just wishing. She had several, long, tedious hours of work to do at her mom’s gallery, but after that it was PUH-LAY-TIME! An hour or two at the bronze surrounded by her semi friends, and several admirers sounded like a perfect way to spend a Saturday evening.
Her time at the gallery passed just as she thought it would, slow and uneventful. Now to mention how exhausted she was. She hadn’t slept well that night on account of all the strange dreams she had. She woke up time, and time again, afraid and out of breath. When her mother asked what was wrong, she simply lied and had said nothing. It was only dreams, nothing to worry her mom over. There was always the risk of her mom reading way more into these kinds of issues then she needed to. Usually her mom’s over the top parenting methods led her to read a book, or attend a seminar. Buffy couldn’t blame her, since her mom felt she had to try twice as hard ever since her father left.
That was all behind her now, and she could focus on what really mattered. The Bronze, and she was ready. Super cute boots, extra tight mini dress, a little shimmer on her lips, and a shimmy in her walk and she was on her way. Half way there she regretted not bringing a jacket, but she was sure she could just ‘borrow’ one from some cute guy. That thought made her smile, and she picked up her pace. A few steps later she felt an unfamiliar tingle on the back of her neck, and a shiver run down her spine.
She had made this walk several times before, alone, in the dark, just after sunset. Never before had she been afraid. She stopped and looked around, no one was there. She turned around, and strode forward with more determination. She felt it again. Once more she stopped. The feeling that overwhelmed her was the urge to stay, however she refused to listen to those instincts, and chose to rely on the common since that told her to run.
